After you have logged in to your recorder, you will see 4 selection menus at the top of the screen.

Watch live, here you can watch live images.

Play, here you can review images.

Logbook, here you can find all actions of the recorder.

Configuration, here you can change all settings of the recorder.

When you go to the configuration, you will quickly see a list of menus and submenus. It is best to complete the list from top to bottom. See the following checkpoints to look out for:

‘Schedule settings’ - Click Edit, under ‘Record type’ select   motion detection. Then click on 'Select All'   and click on 'Copy'. Then click 'OK'.

Now click on 'Copy to' and select all cameras.

‘Motion detection’ - Draw grid, the camera only records   when motion is detected in the grid.

- Press 'save'.

- Do the same for the rest of the cameras.

*The cameras now only record when there is movement

Network settings

To be able to access your recorder from outside, ports must be forwarded in the router. You can do this by logging in to your router. The IP address of your router is the same as the Default Gateway. If your gateway is 192.168.2254, then you can use this to access your router.

The gateway differs per provider, see below for the standard settings of KPN and ZIGGO:

KPN: 192.168.2254

username: admin

password: kpn (or no password!)

Ziggo: 192.168.178.1

username: ziggo

password: wireless

At KPN you can open the ports in the DATA menu, —> NAT —> Port Mapping

Here you can open the ports for the recorder. By default, ports 8000, 80 and 554 are set for this purpose on the recorder. These must be set up in the router as follows:

  • Add a line
  • LAN IP = IP address recorder (in the example 192.168.2100 used)
  • Protocol Type = TCP
  • LAN Port = 8000
  • Public Port = 8000

  • Add another line
  • Enter all data again, only now enter port 80
  • Add another line, fill in all the details and now fill in port 554

At ZIGGO go to “advanced settings”. Under “Gaming and applications” you will find “Port forwarding”. Enter the information here.

You can find your external IP address at www.myip.nl. You can use this IP address to access the recorder via computer, mobile or tablet.
