Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q. My NVR beeps after I start it up for the first time?
A. The NVR's hard drive needs to be formatted. You can do this directly on the NVR at Menu --> HDD --> check the hard drive and click "Init" at the bottom. The NVR will stop beeping after formatting.

Q. The plugin is downloaded, but I still get a message that it is not installed?
A. Currently, HikVision's Plugin is only supported by the following web browsers:
 - Internet Explorer (Please note that Microsoft Edge does not work!)
 - Mozilla Firefox
 - Safari on iOS (iMac) 

Google Chrome unfortunately no longer supports the Plugin!

Q. I added a new IPCamera on my NVR, but nothing happens?
A. Your NVR's firmware is out of date and needs to be upgraded. You can download the latest firmware from the HikVision website.
