This video balun is a balun set which consists of two non-powered devices that convert BNC signals to transmit over a data/UTP cable, as well as directly power the camera. At the other end is the other device to convert the signal back to BNC. 

Also, the distances that can be achieved for good transmission over UTP cable are many times longer than when using coaxial cable. 

With coaxial cables, after 100 meters in some cases an amplifier must be used because the image strength is weakened too much. With Video Baluns and UTP cable you can achieve distances of over 400 meters.
