The Hikvision DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) is the first 8 megapixel turret network camera in the ColorVu range. Available in fixed lenses of 2.8 mm and 4 mm, with AcuSense technology and a built-in microphone, the turret camera provides an ideal solution for a wide range of applications.
With ColourVu technology, the DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) delivers excellent high-quality images day and night, even at zero light levels. The F1.0 super aperture and advanced lenses allow the camera to capture more light and deliver bright, colorful images. It also features built-in supplementary lighting in the form of warm white LED lights that can reach a range of up to 30 meters.
Other features such as 130 dB WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), BLC (Backlight Compensation), HLC (Highlight Compensation) and 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) also help the DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) produce clear and sharp images even when the light is challenging or contrasty.
AcuSense technology uses deep learning algorithms to successfully determine people and vehicles to improve alarm efficiency. In turn, it significantly reduces the number of false alarms previously triggered by foliage, heavy rain, pets and wildlife, to name a few. The deep learning feature enables face recognition, line-crossing detection, intrusion detection, region entry detection and region exit detection, while the difference between people and vehicles can be determined.
Users can mount the DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) indoors or outdoors thanks to its IP67 water and dust resistance. Onboard the minidome is a slot for a microSD/SDHC/SDXC memory card for on-board recording. It also features a built-in microphone that can record sounds up to 5 meters away. This is ideal for surveillance in close proximity, such as driveways, garages and courtyards.
We recommend that the DS-2CD2387G2-LU (C) be powered via POE (Power over Ethernet) for easy installation, as only one cable is needed to provide the minidome with both power and data connections. However, if necessary, the camera can be powered by 12V DC. Please note that no power supply is included with the purchase, but we have listed our recommended option above in the Often assembled section.
